Who I Am

I’m Jeremy. I was of the English upper crust. Whether I still am is debatable.

I was born in 1895, which means there’s a good chance I’m older than you who are reading this. Most of my career was in the British Army, in which I began as a subaltern and ended as a General.

I served throughout the British Empire, on which the sun never set. Later I served in the British diplomatic corps.

I originally began this blog to speak of books and films I particularly liked. However, my circumstances………how shall I say…….. changed. This took my attention away from the finer things of life.

It’s only now that I feel I can resume speaking about them – about the finer things of life that is, as manifested in books and films.
